Toh Arz kiya hai :
"She could be frail and small, or hefty and tall,
Teri aankh roye, while she has a ball!
Suno Suno one and all,
Nobody’s better gifted at driving you up the wall!"
Teri aankh roye, while she has a ball!
Suno Suno one and all,
Nobody’s better gifted at driving you up the wall!"
Okay okay, I know I know, wacky shayari it is, but you did read the title, didn’t ya?
Duniya Ka Naara, Jame Raho
I took it quite literally I guess when it came to my
blog, it froze. The new phase in Master A’s life (and mine), his preschool,
took a toll on my writing. Getting used to the new routine and the additional
responsibilities and bhagambhag meant
lesser time on hand. And the writer in me boarded an overcrowded bus and took a
backseat.
Maar Dala
As a strong advocate of the need to save electricity and the earth, I stay away from over usage of the AC. So the times when Mother Nature plays the prank of heat waves or the Baap of all seasonal tortures, the Equinox happens, and you are forced to battle out the midday sun, no weapons work.
......................................................................................................................................
A much needed break in India I thought would do wonders.
Well it did do the needful on all fronts but this one. Why? Huh, mood dampeners
such as these.
Zindagi ek Safar Hai Suhana
Cut to Mumbai in today’s day and time. All Rajesh Khannas
(with or without their Hema Malinis) descend on the streets of the metropolis
in a manner more dashing than their personas could handle. Red signals do not
dampen the spirits of these self-proclaimed heroes, they zoom away undeterred
and unaffected by the surroundings. Never mind if it causes chaos or even
accidents.
Yunhi kat Jayega Safar
No, that ain’t happening. It’s the English ‘suffer’ when
you step out of the gates of one of the biggest shopping havens in Mumbai, the
Phoenix Mills, pareshaan with the
weight of the shopping bags. And trying to safeguard your little one at the
same time. Why? Very simple. The AC taxi drivers outside the mall quote you a
pre-decided fare of 650 for a distance which should cost you 250. And are so
brazenly shameless that they smile and pose for a photo, when you say you will
make them (in)famous on social media.Main Hoon Manmauji
Nah, That’s not my line. Thats the motto it appears of
every employee in that nationalised bank. The bank where I wanted to (and
eventually did manage to) open a new account. But not before I spent a precious
half a day of my short trip back home, sitting around doing some waiting and
some more waiting, till the woman behind the counter got meherbaan on this poor soul.
Ude, Neele Aasmaan Mein
Yeah but more out of compulsion than choice. Your toddler
decides the next best thing to chocolate is a ride in a Mumbai rickshaw. And
you actually hail one cos you think, (no wait, believe), that you are the next
best contender for Mother India. So there you are, holding your jaan mutthi mein, as your superman
driver makes way, or rather creates new ways and zooms ahead in the madrush.
Neither the Maa ke
Haat ka khana nor the Desh ke Mitti
ki khushbu could trigger the writer nodes in my brain.
And then, it arrived. Like a drop of water in a hot
sweaty desert, a ray of sunshine on a dark gloomy day. Reenergizing me, and
giving me the much needed kick in the butt, dragging me to the writer’s seat. Blogadda’s Notable Newbie Award.
There couldn’t have been a better subject for the 50th
post on my blog. Yes I don’t get a chance to pen down my thoughts as often as
I would like to. And yes, I may not be perfect (who is? :-P), but whatever and
however and how much ever I have written and have managed to produce on paper,
I have been overwhelmed by the love of all of you awesome readers out there. A
big big thankyou with all my heart.
Lovingly Yours,
